Hard Landscaping
Our core expertise is work involving ‘hard’ materials as opposed to soft landscaping. which is, primarily flowers, plants and lawns. Hard landscaping involves all types of materials including block paving for patios, drives and pathways, decking, fencing, brickwork, paving and a whole range of accessories to make the most our of any building project. However, we have increasingly been asked to provide a ‘complete’ services embracing both types, and have joined forces with a local expert in garden design to ensure all our clients needs are fully met through one company. Alternatively, if you have your own architect and/or designer we can happliy work with them.
Drives
An attractive driveway that compliments your house really makes an impact. It significantly improves the appearance, make the property appear larger, provides valuable off-road parking and adds value. The key is always the quality of the foundations. If this isn’t done properly then very soon the appearance will deteriorate. See the next section to learn how we ensure this doesn’t happen to you.
The Construction Process
If you would like to see how a typical paved drive is created from start to finish then this section will help you. As you will see we use mechanical equipment where needed, but the final stages of the work has to be done by hand and this requires experience and skill.
Patios & Walling
Often overlooked or added as an after-thought, they can make a big difference to the overall appearance of not only the garden, but the house too. Materials that are sympathetic to the overall style, age and appearance of the house are key to making it all work visually and practically.
