Drives

A good looking driveway can make a huge difference to the way a house looks and often makes the actual area appear bigger than before.  The key is to make the design and choice of materials (colour, texture, shape and pattern) work with the appearance of the house so that it appears part of it and not something added later without much thought.  But don't take our word for it, have a look at our 'Drive Gallery' and see for yourself.

Block paving is not just attractive, when it it is laid correctly it is very durable and is the surface preferred by most architects, builders, designers and developers for their most prestigious projects.

When planning your new driveway don't forget kerbs!  They can make a big difference to the overall appearance as well as making a clear divide between the drive and the garden/lawn.  Some of the many different kerbs designs ands styles/colours are featured at the bottom of this page.

First impressions count - our driveways always impress

To provide your with some idea of the different materials available for your new drive we have shown some of the ones available below.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements and any specific ideas you might have and we can offer some advice as well as showing you some larger pictures of the various pavers available.

One important point to bear in mind is the 80/20 rule.  That is the cost of installation is approximately 80% preparation and 20% on materials.  So, it is advisable to choose the best quality materials you can afford - exactly what you like.

Finally, take time to consider your driveway at night.  There are many different drivelights now available which provide a subtle and reassuring guide into your property and to your door.  they are simple to install, low maintenance, weatherproof and have a very low running cost.  If you would like to see a few of the many styles available then please click here.
